Core Stability
The importance of core stability has been brought to our attention for quite a few years now, but why is it so important? Core stability involves the area between your ribs and pelvis in which your internal organs are not protected by bone, but by muscle. These muscles also help to maintain a good posture, minimising unnecessary pressure. Having good core stability then, helps protect internal organs and supports the skeletal structure to maintain a good posture.

Free Consultation
Each client will receive an initial free consultation. The consultation will take between 45 to 60 minutes. During this time a health, fitness and lifestyle questionnaire will be completed and goals discussed. To ensure each individual is healthy and fit to proceed with exercise, heart rate and blood pressure will be monitored. There is a choice of fitness tests which can be carried out to monitor current health and fitness.
Fitness Testing
Fitness testing is not only used to monitor current fitness and health levels, but also as a motivational aid. Fitness testing is re-tested every 6-8 weeks. The results will show all improvements and measure accurate health and fitness changes. There is a huge list of possible tests including Limb girths (body measurements), body composition (lean muscle, fat and water) and sit & reach (flexibility).

Shape – up
Re-shaping involves concentrating on a particular area of the body which you would like to re-shape. This creates an ideal image by adopting the exercises and methods for the specific shape required.
Weight Management/Weight Loss
To lose weight and keep it off is never as simple as following a low calorie diet. Many diets have been attempted and many participants have lost weight and proceeded to put the weight back on. The simplicity of losing weight is to take in fewer calories than are used up. But it isn’t even that simple. In order to manage weight the metabolic rate must be increased, which requires adequate sleep, regular eating and regular exercise. With help from Anna it is possible to change high risk habits into healthy habits.
Fitness Gain/Improvement
Improving your fitness level can bring many benefits; from reducing your risk of heart disease to being fast enough to catch the last train home without feeling breathless. There are many ways in which fitness can be improved, through gentle exercise or more energetic forms for enthusiasts. It is Anna’s role to make sure the programme provided is enjoyable and set at a suitable level for each individual.
Examples of exercises include, walking, running, boxing, circuits, exercise ball.
Toning
Toning is an important feature of exercise. Toning involves making the body firmer, enabling you to wear short sleeved tops and maybe even hot pants ! Many people are very capable of keeping a trim figure, but unsure of how to tighten those wobbly areas without becoming any bigger. This can be done using body weight only, or using handheld or machine weights. Bulging muscle will not appear unless a programme is designed for a body builder. There are no risks of adding unwanted muscle, this takes years of intense training.
Motivation
Encouragement, support and rewards are all motivational. In order to start a fitness programme Anna will be your motivation. This will continue throughout your training. Re-testing every 6-8 weeks will provide progress results, encouraging you to keep the programme going and providing the benefits. Goals will be set and achievements recorded. Your own feelings will motivate you to continue the good work.
Strength & Conditioning
Body Conditioning and Strength Training will re-shape and define muscle tone. Programmes can be designed to define muscle, strengthen or even to gain muscle bulk. The strengthening of muscles improves the whole body as the muscles support the skeletal system and fibrous tissue such as tendons and ligaments.
Sports Specific Training
Anna can provide sports enthusiasts with a programme designed to improve technique, skill and fitness levels. Each sport requires strengths in different areas, speed, strength, agility and power. Training is available for all sports from golf to gymnastics and football.
Health & Wellbeing
On a daily basis our body goes through many stages and emotions; from sleepy to alert, from stressed to excited. It is important to keep our body balanced. The more balanced we are the better we deal with unexpected situations. The healthier our bodies, the more able we are to deal with infection or disease. In order to maintain a healthy wellbeing life management is essential.
Nutrition Advice
According to a well known television series “you are what you eat”. This is true to a certain extent; if we eat lots of fat, we will become fat; if we eat only lettuce, we will eventually become something similar to a light, pale lettuce leaf. The route to a healthy diet is a balanced diet off Carbohydrate, Proteins, Fats, Vitamins and Minerals.
